EXPLORE BEKAFRIK COUTURE : WORKS OF GHANAIAN ARTIST REBECCA MENSAH

Ghanaian artist and fabric designer, whose exceptional artwork and design skills were displayed during an interview with DrWanda Evans-Brewer on Pan African TV this month, has gained traction on Tik Tok and other social media platforms after a video was posted on Facebook with Dr Wanda Evans-Brewer wearing a beautifully designed dress by BEKAFRIK COUTURE.
Rebecca Mensah, CEO of BekAfrik Couture described her brand as a clothing brand that speaks on another level when it comes to fashion . According Rebecca,  she sees fashion as a form of art, and she loves how culture, music ,movies and art inspires her to do fashion.
Rebecca is interested in preaching beauty in everything around her, even in the things beauty cannot be found in. Her works have been an effective way of promoting recycling, with her use of disposable sack bags as fabrics to sow ingenious collections of male and female apparel.
"For me, fashion should be representational and aid expression or communication as well" she says.
One of her works worn by DrWanda, was designed to create awareness of the horrible skin disease known as Neurofibromatosis, and to show solidarity with a friend who suffered from this disease.

In her own words Rebecca says,
"My sole aim is to provide the world at large and my clients with my creative skills through beautiful wears to make them the best version of themselves by representing something or a concept"
